About us
The company's founder Steve Lunt is an experienced film-maker and television journalist. He's worked for BBC, ITV and Sky channels in the UK as a reporter, programme producer, director, cameraman and editor. He is also a barrister-at-law and appeared as an advocate in the UK’s highest courts for ten years, before deciding to explore the more colourful and creative adventure of building up a TV production business! Steve’s background as an advocate is useful to clients when determining how their stories can be told most persuasively in a Director Films production. His experience as a television professional is helpful in shaping their stories most creatively and effectively by harnessing the power of moving pictures and sound.
Over the years we’ve formed alliances with highly specialised and experienced camera operators, sound engineers and editors in the television and film industry – so Director Films can provide the right creative talent for any scale of production, whatever its challenges may be. We can select the most appropriate team for a particular film – using television and film professionals who have the best abilities and attitude, who are prepared to go the extra mile and produce the most effective results for clients every time.
We can make visually engaging films for international organisations to use as powerful and flexible marketing tools. Our features are filmed, scripted and edited appropriately to ensure that they will be clearly understood, appreciated and enjoyed by their intended audience. We produce films that show the strengths, characters and personalities of people, products and services in the most effective, attractive and entertaining ways.
We give our clients access to professional film production techniques and high-end television equipment, without having to endure the expense, delays and impersonal treatment often involved in commissioning a film from a larger production house.
Previous clients – including Manchester United and British movie producers - have used the words "really excellent", "thrilled" and "delighted" to describe the films that we've made for them.
We are keen to develop the company’s profile and reputation in the Asia-Pacific region by consistently producing commercial films to the best international standards, helping Asian clients stand out most effectively and win new business in challenging global markets.
We take great care to ensure that we understand your business or activities thoroughly, then work closely with you to ensure that your organisation’s story is told persuasively in an interesting, creative film that engages potential clients psychologically, emotionally and commercially.
